Sickness Benefit Plan
Which plan should I choose?

Sickness Benefit Basic Salary o­nly
Sickness Benefit Plus Basic Salary and a low level of variable pay
Sickness Benefit 21 Basic Salary and a high level of variable pay
 

Sickness and Death Benefit
Scheme ‘A’

Fixed benefit plan, which pays for periods of incapacity up to 35 weeks. Two levels of benefit are available.

This scheme is not open to new members.

Medical Benefit
Scheme ‘B’

Pays towards dental and optical costs and hospital benefits whilst as a patient in hospital. Three levels of benefit are available.

This scheme is not open to new members.

 


 


Sickness Benefit

Designed for employees earning basic salary o­nly. Paying a fixed benefit for up to 18 months, starting when your company sick pay stops.

Sickness Benefit Plus
Designed for employees who top up their basic salary with additional allowances, shift pay or overtime. Benefit payments start after four weeks of illness and aim to replace some of your lost allowances not covered under company sick pay policy. When company sick pay stops, there is an increased benefit for up to 18 months.


 


Sickness Benefit 21
Designed for employees with a substantial part of their earnings generated from allowances, shift pay or overtime. Benefit payments start after 21 days of illness and are paid a fixed benefit up to 49 weeks.
